Inara Scott grew up in winter wonderland of Buffalo, NY. Consequently, she spent much of her childhood complaining about being cold. To spare the world her whining, she fled the cold climate and eventually wound up in the Pacific NW, where she practiced law for ten years before quitting her day job to write full time. Today, Inara writes anything and everything, including young adult fiction and adult romance. She also does frequent school visits and loves teaching writing to students of all ages. Kirkus Reviews called her debut novel, Delacroix Academy: The Candidates a “tightly written, intriguing mystery.” The Candidates (released in paperback as The Talents) was a 2010 Oregon Spirit Book Award Honor Book. The Marked is the second book in The Talents series. Inara also writes adult romance for Entangled Publishing. Her fantasy romance Radiant Desire won a 2012 HOLT Medallion Award of Merit, and was a Romance Reviews Top Pick for 2011. Her latest novel with Entangled is Rules of Negotiation.
